ODISSEIA WHITE RESERVE
The grapes stem from 3 Douro areas atf between 450 and 650 m altitude and granitic soil.
The selected varieties are mostly Rabigato, Viosinho and Codega de Larinho, of vines more than 20 years old.
The grapes are pressed and the most separated for 2 days at 10°C. After cleaning, fermentation occurs partly in 500-litre French oak barrels and the remainder in stainless steel vats at 14°C for 3 to 4 weeks. With fermentation the wine is separated from thicker lees. The wine is matured with weekly batonnage until the end of January and the final batch shall be ready in February for bottling between April and June.
White Reserva partly fermented and aged in French oak barrels is a complex wine with citric notes and the elegance of new wood. In the palate it presents a fine acidity, a well balanced minerality and length.
